Using the blocks (WordPress)

All 26 blocks appear under a Meridian category in the block inserter.

Adding one

Edit any page, press +, and scroll to Meridian. Every block is a

dynamic block: you set options in the sidebar, and the markup is produced by the

theme when the page loads.

That last part matters — it means theme updates improve every page you have

already built, and you will never see the "this block contains unexpected

content" error that plagues static blocks.

Select a block and open the sidebar (the gear icon). Everything lives there,

grouped under the block's name.

The canvas shows a compact summary rather than a full render. That is

deliberate: an editor trying to be a perfect preview is slow and usually lying.

Use Preview to see the real thing.

Press +, choose the Patterns tab, then Meridian layouts. Sixteen

starting stacks — home, about, investment, sessions, contact, travel, landing

and more. Insert one and edit it; nothing is locked.

New pages also offer these in the pattern modal when you create them.

Headings accept asterisks around a word to set it in italic — that is how

the mixed roman-and-italic headlines are made.

Image fields use the standard WordPress media library. For multi-image blocks,

the order you select is the order they appear.

The Portfolio grid and Journal list blocks pull content in

automatically. You do not list items manually — add a collection or post and it

appears wherever those blocks are.
